Tiger Technology is proud to announce the immediate availability of hotfix 4.2.1 of metaSAN, metaSAN iSCSI, metaLAN Server, and metaLAN with improved stability and support for FilmLightOS 2.0, kernel 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5.centos.plus (64-bit)

New in hotfix 4.2.1:

  • (Win) General Windows stability fixes (including CS4 and file copy)
  • (Win) Working with MAGIX Samplitude on SAN volumes
  • (Win) Properly lists HFS+ content from Command Line
  • (Mac) Cross-platform improvements when Mac clients access Vista Metadata Master
  • (Mac) Retains all Quicktime changes made on HFS+
  • (Linux) Cross-platform improvements when Linux clients access Mac OS X Metadata Master

Upgrade eligibility:

Hotfix build 4.2.1 is now available for download to all users currently on metaSAN 4.x

All users under Subscription are eligible to the 4.x upgrade, as well as users who have acquired ALL their site licenses after October 1st 2008.

Please note that this upgrade process is not automatic for 3.x users. It is necessary to send an email with the subject "4.x Upgrade Request" to support@tiger-technology.com. This email must include the login information.

IMPORTANT: Once an account has been upgraded to 4.x, access to previous builds of metaSAN will no longer be possible.
