Alpharetta, GA, USA — March 10, 2021 — Tiger Technology, a leader in data management solutions for the past 20 years, has partnered with trusted global video data infrastructure leader BCDVideo to power its new Hybrid Cloud Connectivity— Harmonize Bridge. Tiger Technology’s expertise in designing secure, high-performance data management solutions pairs with BCD’s expertise in building Video Management Platforms (VMS) to create this breakthrough solution. This offering provides BCD’s security customers with a simple software add-on to connect their VMS to any cloud provider for data protection and extension of local storage to the cloud.

The Harmonize Bridge offering powered by Tiger Technology now comes standard on all BCDVideo and Video Storage Solution (VSS) video appliances. The BCD Harmonize Bridge solution is unique in that the integrator or the end-user can choose the cloud provider of their choice.

This partnership with BCD enables their customers to seamlessly add cloud storage and services, without any changes to their on-premises systems and workflows. This distinctive offering enables customers to manage local data, as well as in private and public clouds. Customers can optimize their storage system, prioritizing cameras that require local or hot cloud storage for immediate insights, while also protecting devices that send footage directly to cold storage for long-term retention and analysis.

Cloud storage is a critical consideration in the deployment of VMS systems as customers are not limited to a fixed on-premises configuration. With the cloud, they can easily add cameras, change retention periods and share content between remote facilities with a shared dataset. These hybrid systems also allow customers to integrate specialized services, such as artificial intelligence (AI) without the need for additional on-premises builds. These features make hybrid models the optimum solution for deployments that would otherwise need large capital expenditures to expand or replace local installations. Hybrid cloud infrastructures can reduce costs, maximize return on investment (ROI) and offer operational flexibility to any security customer — all while keeping data accessible and secure.

“As security software companies continue to expand their product portfolio, the cloud is always a topic of conversation. BCD’s cloud initiative offers a bridge through our Harmonize suite of software products, powered by Tiger Technology’s cloud bridge, to allow VMS companies to bridge archived and recorded data to the cloud offering of their choice, without having to write special integrations,” noted Jason Glover, Vice President of Sales, BCD International, Inc.

Tiger Technology Executive Vice President Lance Kelson spoke to the strength of the partnership between the two companies, emphasizing the significance of their ability to bring hybrid cloud to any surveillance deployment throughout the world.

“We’ve been impressed with the forward-looking cloud strategy from the BCD team,” Kelson said. “For the first time, the questions and cost concerns of long retention periods, data durability and ease of use can be easily addressed. With BCD’s cloud-enabled hardware, in just a few minutes your VMS can be connected to any cloud provider and benefit from immediately scalable cloud storage.”
