Frequently Asked Questions
When do these changes take effect?
Current customers will automatically transition to the new per-GB billing model on their first billing date after December 12, 2025. All product features and functionality will be preserved during the transition.
What happens to my current plan?
For Continuous Data Protection, Multi-site Sync, and Cloud Sync & Share customers:
- You'll automatically switch to the equivalent new plan (Scale Up or Collaborate)
- All features remain the same
- No action required
For Basic and Backup Plan customers:
- These legacy plans are being sunset
- Your subscription is guaranteed to remain unchanged for the next 12 months
- Special upgrade offer: Get 50% off Scale Up for 12 months if you upgrade within 3 months
For Tiger Bridge for Backblaze B2 customers:
- Your promotional terms remain guaranteed for 12 months
I don't have a cloud account. Do I need one?
Your Tiger Bridge monthly subscription does not include cloud storage. If you are using Tiger Bridge to connect to the cloud, setting up a cloud account is a prerequisite.
What am I billed for?
Your monthly billing is based on the maximum managed capacity during any given month. Managed capacity refers to the total amount of data calculated as the maximum capacity of all sources tracked by Tiger Bridge within a billing period.
Can I switch between plans?
Yes! You can switch plans directly from your Tiger Technology account once per billing period:
- Log in to your Tiger Technology account
- Select the order you'd like to modify
- Navigate to the My Plan section
- Choose the plan that best fits your needs
Can I switch back to legacy plans?
Switching back to legacy plans is not possible.
Is a credit card required?
Yes, a valid payment method is required to activate your license, unless you are signing up for a free 30-day trial. Your credit card information is collected and stored securely by Stripe, an industry-leading payment platform.
Can I get discounts for larger capacities?
Yes! If you're managing 10TB or more, contact our sales team to learn about custom data management plans with reserved capacity pricing and flexible terms.
Are there any trials available?
Yes! We offer a free 30-day trial with unlimited capacity so you can test all features before committing to a plan. No credit card required.
What support is included?
Email support is included in all subscriptions. Create a support ticket to receive a response within 1-4 business days.
